East London’s Redchurch Street is a promising spot in the capital. With an array of cool coffee shops, live music venues, boutiques, menswear stores and galleries, it is certainly the place to spot some of London’s finest trendsetters. So, it was no surprise that when we were looking for a new store to unearth, we found one right on Redchurch Street!

Heading down the cobbled street, the first store we saw caught our eye – Catch and Release. Talk about not having to work too hard!

Catch and Release is a charming boutique which specialises in vintage eye frames. From varied frames for window and shaded lenses, they come in all shapes and sizes. The store focuses on curating a range of chosen pieces rather than bulk-stock some of the brands you may find in large department stores. Catch and Release are all about the edit, and boy do they do it well. The staff are all experts and enthusiasts themselves, so don’t be surprised if you find your self happily spending a lot longer than expected in-store to hear about the history of certain pieces.

Catch and Release is a great store with an amazing selection of frames, set in an intimate environment, and have employed some of coolest looking and friendliest staff around. Whether you’re a newcomer like me, or an avid collector, make sure you pay Catch and Release a well-deserved visit!
