Tourne de Transmission SS16

It’s not been long since Tourne de Transmission’s first collection surfaced and even more recent their first LC:M presentation last June, but may i say that they’ve been killing it! There’s something about TDT that really intrigues me. The brand’s premise, message, art direction and intricacy of designs are all an amalgamation of awesomeness in one single entity. TDT’s latest SS16 collection titled ‘We Ignorant Youth’ is inspired by a South American tribe called the Kogi (which translates as ‘Jaguar’) and features loose fitted pieces, raw edges, patchwork denim, soft suedes around a colour palette of blacks, creams and whites. I personally love brands that have a strong and unique visual aesthetic because i find fun in trying new styles as well as working pieces into my existing wardrobe.

As you may already know, i’m a person that is neither street than i am sartorial so here’s a few monochrome looks we styled with TDT’s AW15 collection with some pieces from SS16 that i hope will challenge you not to fall into conformity but to try something new once in a while. I must add that wide leg jeans are slowly becoming a favourite of mine and these Plan B pants in black denim with raw edges really do the job!

Dress with confidence,

John
