KEEPING IT SIMPLE: HOW TO WEAR TAN SHOES
Sometimes i find that i always go back to wearing the same tan brogues everyday, just for the sole reason that tan goes with almost anything; both smart and casual. And now that the sun is out, it’s time to whip out some summer styles in the same colour and show you how i’d style them in a smart-casual-workwear type of way! After sifting through DUNE LONDON’s latest collection i picked up a few gems that i really think will make you stand out from the crowd this season, whether you’re going on a nice beach holiday or staying local for a London summer!
First up is the classic Radcliffe derby brogue with a soft low leather sole. Since this is the more traditional style i thought i’d pair it with a pair of cotton dungarees over a print summer shirt and a denim workwear jacket. This of course can be used for smart suits or the lazy jeans and t-shirt days. I should make a suggestion that most men should have a pair of these in their wardrobe regardless.
However my favourite style this season is the Bric woven leather lace-up shoe with white cushioned sole. I find this a nice alternative to the standard tan derby or brogue and not to mention it’s a smart choice for those hot days when breathability is key! If you’re looking for something less casual then the Brighton Pier Woven lace Up shoe might be the one since this one features a soft leather sole. Either way match these up with some denim and lightweight cotton jackets… why not try a hat too?
Ice Pop, no not an actual ice pop, but one of Dune’s popular sandals. And no not type your uncle brings home in bulk from Brixton market. This double strap leather sandal has a white rubber sole and a comfy footbed and buckle fastening. Remember no socks with sandals! Wear these with a simple t-shirt and shorts combo. Maybe play with some block colouring to make it interesting. Since it’s summer we went for a bold yellow!
Let us know how you’d style a tan shoe?
In the meanwhile… keep it simple & dress with confidence,
