Some months back we were asked to join Farah as they shot the campaign for their new SS12 collection. We were very keen to take part but, like many people, I had only ever heard about Farah through hearsay. So I decided to do a little digging which turned into more of an excavation! I had no idea the brand had such deep roots.

Farah began in the 1920′s, but like any brand back then building a dedicated following took a considerable amount of time. It wasn’t until the 70′s that Farah reached cult status, being the desired label of most of the fashion groups that dominated at the time. Mods, Skins, Sticksmen and Rocker-billys were all able to make a Farah piece of clothing their own, which is what we’re into here at Individualism.

If you’ve ever been shopping with me you’d know I have an unhealthy obsession with paisley print. I’m not sure whether it’s the intricacy of the design or the fact that it’s history lies in India. Either way you’ll always find me stopping to take a second glance at anything that resembles that pattern. So when I was told by Mr Porter we’d be given the chance to interview Mr Kean Etro I was thrilled. Those whom are familiar with the designer / brand know that he is a keen enthusiast of colour, pattern and paisley in particular.

Mr Porter Live from MILAN FASHION WEEK

So right now I’m in MILAN blogging from the Principe di Savoi (to give you some context Amir Khan and Jo Jonas are current staying in this hotel right now). Anyhow – I’ve been flown out by Mr Porter to film and edit videos of all the shows we are attending. The turn around for these have to be super quick – something I’ve never had to to before but exciting all the same. Yesterday we checked out the Burberry show. SHAKKA – TAKE OUR TIME

Last summer I had the pleasure of styling the video to one of the songs on Shakka’s mixtape “The Shakka Crown Affair”. The concept of the video played out the significance of reversing time and learning from the past. London Street Style – Mr Porter

So as you guys know, I’m up and running at Mr Porter now producing and directing the type of style videos that I love!

I was recently asked to shoot our regular Street Style Video, where the basic premise is about filming interestingly dressed guys in different cities of the world. I just got back from Miami on a recent shoot, but for this particular episode I was wizzed all the way to sunny…London. Damn.

Although it isn’t the most exotic location, it wasn’t hard spotting some exceptionally stylish yet practical gentlemen in what I consider one of, if not the most stylish city in the world. Take a peek at how these chaps from The Big Smoke dress for the winter…

Those close to me know that over the past few months there have been many changes going on in my life, one of the biggest and most positive being my new job.

Today marks my first month working for Mr Porter as their news video Style Editor and to say that it’s a dream job would be an understatement. It’s simply the most amazing and inspiring environment I’ve ever worked in and I’m honored to be working around such a talented world class team!

Anyhow…since I started in my new role I’ve been learning the ropes and have been working on many projects. But this is officially my first piece of work for them. A behind the scenes video for the ‘How To Look Good On A Bike’ feature! Enjoy!
