If you’ve ever been shopping with me you’d know I have an unhealthy obsession with paisley print. I’m not sure whether it’s the intricacy of the design or the fact that it’s history lies in India. Either way you’ll always find me stopping to take a second glance at anything that resembles that pattern. So when I was told by Mr Porter we’d be given the chance to interview Mr Kean Etro I was thrilled. Those whom are familiar with the designer / brand know that he is a keen enthusiast of colour, pattern and paisley in particular.

UNDSCRVD X INDIVIDUALISM 2012 LOOK BOOK

I have to admit I have a little addiction. Well a big addiction actually. When it comes to online shopping I’m a sucker for accessories. Out of all the categories within that accessories pop down menu, bags are the one I click through most frequently. There are so many reasons as to why I can spend hours upon hours scouring through online stores for these items, but one of the main pulling factors is that you don’t ever really have to try a bag on. Unfortunately I’ve been blessed with the oddest orangutan-esqe body proportions, so buying clothing from online stores has always been a tad difficult. However with accessories I never really have to worry.

So when a few weeks back my good friend (and photographer for this shoot) introduced me to a site called UNDSCRVD I instantly knew I wanted to work with them in some capacity.

I won’t babble on too much about what they are, as you can read a better write up on that from their “about” page. However, in a nutshell UNDSCRVD is a menswear site that concentrates on selling great looking men’s bags. Whether that be a cool independent or a large global brand!

We decided to get creative and collaborative on the shoot and Mr Alexander Milnes had the great idea of shooting all the bags in mid air! Easy right? Hmmm… the word challenge would be an understatement. However, we managed to pull it off and I’m pretty pleased with the end results! Mr Porter Style Help App

If you’ve been following us from day one you’d know that everything we post up has been 100% organic and honest. We have never produced shoots or written about a brand or item unless we genuinely liked it.

So, before you go and think this is a biased post please understand that we have and will continue, to deliver content with those same ethics in mind.

Ahhh now that’s out of the way I can get to it.

The Mr Porter App has just been released and it’s DOPE! In a nutshell it’s a content based app that pushes all the journal and editorial content on the website into easy, digestible pieces in mobile form.

Now here are a few reasons why I think it’s so great!

1. Before I started working at Mr Porter I thought their editorial content was one, if not the best content on menswear out there. The branding the information, writing, were all on point – it had it all and those that have been on the site would and should agree.

2. Now that I’m part of that editorial team, I know how good it is from a first hand perspective.

3. I’ve seen the mobile team at work on this app and how they’ve honed it to ensure it’s the best possible experience for its users.

4. It’s FREE!

Levis Vintage Clothing – Staff Talk

A few months back we shot a feature on one of our favourite stores in London. Newburgh St’s Levis Vintage Clothing store. The staff there were amazingly helpful, so much so that they even allowed us to film during store hours!

This was shot as a pilot for a regular video feature called Staff Talk. The idea of which see’s us interviewing staff of interesting menswear stores around the UK about both the store and the culture of the local area.

In this episode we sit down with Fabian Nordström. As I stated before it is a pilot so please leave your feedback. If you guys enjoy it we’ll then know to continue the series.

Patagonia Covent Garden Store Launch

For those of you that work outdoors a lot, you’d probably agree that Patagonia’s clothes were sent to you from higher powers, like heaven, or that stalk that delivered Dumbo . I’m sure Noah rocked one of their coats, back in the rainy day.

For some reason beyond my understanding, Noah didn’t make their store launch at Covent Garden recently. But we did. And we filmed it.

It’s a massive breathable space, bursting with colour and smiley vibes. Go check it out…

LFW with Virgin Media Pioneers

Our friends over at Virgin Media Pioneers probably had too much to drink when they thought of asking me to present and help produce one of their polished videos about fashion entrepreneurs. But they done it anyhow, and I done it anyhow. So the lesson here guys, is to always follow your drunken instinct. Actually, I take that back. Jail cells aren’t warm. Well, not as warm as they used to be. I digress…
